60 and 50 glorious years in the vineyard of the Lord, is what we as a province came together to celebrate on the 3 August and 24 August 2019. As our dear Sr. Marietta Vettical and Sr. Caroline Fernandes celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of their religious profession and Sr. Flavia Mascarenhas and Sr. Aruna Castelino celebrated the Golden Jubilee of their religious profession, we, the Sisters, family members, staff, cooperators, well-wishers, and friends joined them in thanking God for His fidelity to them during their religious journey. We gathered around the Eucharistic table to partake in the Thanksgiving Meal celebrated by Rev. Fr. V. V Abraham (Goa) and Fr. Godfrey D’Souza (Mumbai) and the other concelebrants. The staff of Auxilium Caranzalem and the Sisters added to the solemnity of the celebration with their melodious choir.
We then proceeded to the Hall for a short felicitation programme which would be followed by an agape meal. Our jubilarians were given a thunderous and loving welcome as they danced to the tune of the music. Sr. Elizabeth Coelho raised the toast in Caranzalem while Sr. Moksha Antonappa along with Sr. Antonette Rebello raised the toast on this special occasion thanking both our dear sisters for their great contribution to our province during their past 60 and 50 years of service and dedication. Our provincial Sr. Ritha Dora felicitated our dear jubilarians on behalf of the entire province bestowing on them gifts and flowers.
In Goa,the students of Auxilium Caranzalem then put up an entertainment programme comprising of dance and song. The last item on the list was the jubilee song by the Sisters. We all joined in the fellowship meal thanking God for all His blessings that never cease. May God bless our dear Sr. Marietta, Sr. Caroline, Sr. Aruna and Sr. Flavia, as they continue to toil joyfully and lovingly in His vineyard.
