After having successfully completed the visitation to the Goa region, our dear Mother Yvonne accompanied by our Provincial Sr. Ritha Dora Thomas, our Vice Provincial Sr. Agatha Dias and Provincial Secretary Sr. Supriya Noronha left Dabolim airport, Goa at 7.00 am and landed in Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai at 8.15 am on the 4th of March.
Mother Yvonne met the Provincial Council from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and from 3.00 to 4.00 pm at Auxilium Centre, Provincial House, Bandra.
Around 4.30 pm Mother Yvonne accompanied by our Provincial Sr. Ritha Dora Thomas and the Provincial Councillors left for Auxilium 
Convent, Pali Hill, Bandra. The hills of Pali were resounding with joyful shouts of “Welcome Mother” as our beloved Mother Yvonne was given a grand welcome on her first maiden visit as Superior General to our Province. The sisters and the exuberant Auxilians escorted Mother General into the portals of Auxilium Convent, Pali Hill, with fragrant flowers and an energetic display of Maharashtrian folk dances. At the entrance an aarati was performed which is a traditional Indian custom of welcoming a guest. Sr. Leema Joseph, the 
animator of the community, Sr. Shiny Alphonse, the Headmistress of the School as well as Sr. Innocencia Rozario and Sr. Elizabeth Ross 
officially welcomed Mother with a shawl, a garland and bouquet of flowers. After the guard of honour they escorted her to the dais. The cultural programme which followed was a fantastic blend of western and Indian culture. Mother Yvonne was overwhelmed with their breathtaking performance at the end of which she was invited to pose for a picture with the students. She then addressed the gathering and congratulated the students for their excellent performance. She affirmed that we are all part of a big family and to love people in the name of God is our mission. Her message to them was “I wish you to be always happy and search for occasions to make others happy”. As a gesture of her love and affection, she looked into the eyes of each one present and asserted that they were beautiful and she loved them.
After a tea break Mother Yvonne met the Salesian Family: the Cooperators, the ADMA members, the past pupils, the teaching and the 
non-teaching staff. Mother spoke to the Salesian Family saying that though we come from different cultures, faiths, and traditions and yet the vocation and responsibility received by each one is the same – that of giving hope to others, especially the young and to form the future of tomorrow. Each group presented her with flowers and gifts as a token of their love and gratitude.
The entire gathering then assembled in the school hall for the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Allwyn Nazareth sdb.
The Holy Eucharist was offered for the intentions of Mother Yvonne 
who has come to us in the name of the Lord. Our dear Mother General, Mother Provincial, representatives of the Provincial Council and Salesian Family entered in procession while the entrance hymn was sung. In his homily, Fr. Allwyn referred to St. Augustine’s book “The confessions”, in which the saint mentions that we are often lost in the many beautiful gifts of creation forgetting the Giver of them all. Jesus challenges us to be engaged in spiritual things, to be more loving and forgiving and follow Him more closely.
After communion, the National Delegate of the Past Pupils’ Association, Miss Sunita D’Souza was invited to share her experience of how Auxilium played a significant role in moulding and shaping her personality during the twelve years that she had joyfully spent in Auxilium, Pali hill.
A bouquet was then presented by Mother Yvonne to Fr. Allwyn as a token of gratitude and appreciation.
The Eucharistic banquet was followed by an Agape meal. Mother Yvonne was then accompanied by Sr. Rita Dora Thomas to the Provincial house after having experienced a warm and pleasant evening with at Auxilium Pali Hill.
