Our beloved Mother Yvonne Reungoat, was warmly welcomed by the 
Superiors of the Goa-Karnataka region at the Dabolim Airport in Goa at 7.15 am. They then proceeded to Auxilium Convent – Benaulim where the sisters, students, past pupils, co-operators and ADMA members greeted her with flowers, smiles, cheers and song. It was indeed a colourful and joyful welcome.
Along with Mother Yvonne, the sisters made their way to the Chapel 
for a well animated prayer moment, interspersed with prayers of thanksgiving and petition for the fruitfulness of the visit. After a sumptuous breakfast we gathered in the hall eager to hear Mother’s message filled with affection and wisdom. Mother spoke straight from the heart thanking each of us for our Salesian life and urging us to be ever faithful to our religious life and be a sign of hope to the young and an inspiration to all we meet. The faith that we live ought to be contagious so that many young people may be drawn to the person of Christ. We then met as one family around the Eucharistic table. Fr. Avil Rodrigues, the Vice-provincial of the Konkan Province was the main celebrant. Fourteen other Salesians concelebrated along with him. After a short audience with the priests we had a agape meal.
At 3.00 pm the sisters along with Mother proceeded towards Auxilium 
– Caranzalem. Here, she was in for another colourful surprise as the students escorted her with different dances. The sisters, the staff members and the co-operators joyfully greeted her with songs. Mother addressed everyone present, expressing her thanks and assuring us that she will keep each of us in her heart and prayers. We then joined together for a short prayer in the Chapel. After tea and snacks the sisters left for a short outing on the ‘boat cruise’ at the famous Mandovi Riverlet in Panjim. After this refreshing adventure on the cruise everyone returned to Benaulim, eager to awake to a new dawn with our beloved Mother Yvonne to look towards a continuation of a joyful encounter with her.
