AMAR NEWS # 33 Perpetual Profession at Kasarkod

It has been a great celebration of the Perpetual Profession of the Daughters of Mary Help Of Christians on 29th May 2017 at St. Sebastian Church, Upper Kasarkod. The Diocese of Karwar is indeed  proud  to host and witness the commitment of three Salesian sisters, Sr. Rita D’Souza, Sr. Kavita Noronha and Sr. Reshma Janet Rosario in the presence of Rev. Bishop Derek Fernandes, the Bishop of Karwar, who presided over the solemn Eucharistic celebration. Many Salesian and Diocesan priests, religious both FMAs and others, Parents and relatives of the sisters to be perpetually professed besides the large number of people faithful coming from different parishes were present.

 

The rite of the final commitment itself was very moving, as we, accompanied by our parents moved towards the altar to offer our lives to God forever. After the solemn Eucharistic celebration, there was a short felicitation programme anchored by the parish priest Fr. Richard Rodrigues who solemnised the celebrations. The bishop spoke a few words to the gathering wishingand enthusing us to live a committed religious life.
