The 6th of August was an auspicious day in Mazzarello Youth Centre, as we joyfully united to celebrate the Golden Jubilee of our dear Sisters Cristina Ferreira, Elizabeth Ross, Sr. Flida Morris and Sr. Servitas D’Silva. We began the day with a beautiful prayer moment thanking God for the gift of these sisters and imploring His abundant blessings on them. At 10 am we had the Solemn Eucharist celebrated by his Lordship, Bishop John Rodrigues, the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Mumbai. We are grateful to him, to Fr. Godfrey D’Souza the Provincial, and all the other priests who con celebrated at the Eucharist.
The Holy Mass was proceeded by a short, yet meaningful cultural programme by our students of Pali Hill, Wadala and our evening study children. The last yet not the least item on the list was the jubilee song sung by the sisters. Our jubilarians were felicitated, honoured and thanked for their contribution towards the province and institute for the last 50 years. We were glad to have their relatives, the sisters of our different houses along with well wishers, teachers and friends on this joyous occasion.
