The Triennial Verification was held at SJTC Lonavala on November 22, 2024. The theme for the day was “Community’s mission that generates life”. The day commenced with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration, presided over by Fr. Chris Saldanha, SDB, which set a reflective and spiritual tone for the event. The liturgy beautifully revolved around the Wedding Feast at Cana, with the six jars symbolizing the vibrant regions of Goa, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. This representation highlighted the unity and diversity of the province, rooted in the spirit of service and mission.

The formal inauguration began with an introduction by the moderator, Sr. Caroline Menezes, who warmly welcomed the gathering and set the stage for the day's proceedings. This was followed by a prayer led by Sr. Lata Arogyaswamy, invoking God's presence and guidance as the participants prepared for a day of deep reflection and sharing. Sr. Meenakshi D'Silva, the Provincial, extended a heartfelt welcome to all present, including the cherished lay collaborators. She expressed gratitude for their invaluable contributions to the mission, acknowledging their shared responsibility and co-responsibility in the province's journey.

The event proceeded with presentations from Sr. Gloria Ferrao and other sector representatives, showcasing the best practices implemented across various areas of the mission. These presentations not only highlighted innovations but also inspired participants to build on these successes.

The participants were then divided into discussion groups, fostering dialogue and brainstorming ideas for the mission's growth. The group reports, presented to the general assembly, offered a wealth of insights and recommendations, strengthening the collective vision and action plans.

Adding a youthful perspective, Miss.Ancilia Patrao, a youth representative, shared her enriching experience at the Salesian Youth Synod at Rome, inspiring everyone with her enthusiasm and insights.
