AMAR NEWS # 24 Media cum Faith Fest

‘Media cum Faith Fest’, a unique initiative by the Media combined with the Vocation sectors of the Province began on a joyful note at 3.30 pm in Auxilium Youth Animation Centre. Sr. Joanita Antao, the Animator of the house lovingly welcomed the 41  participants and eight sisters who came from different areas of Maharashtra and Goa.

After refreshments and registration, the students were given a short introduction about what this event was all about. Our main aim was to draw these youngsters closer to the person of Jesus Christ and help them be more serious about their Christian commitment. We then had five youngsters from the ‘Jesus Youth’ who conducted a beautiful session for then through skit, song, dance and sharing of testimonies and experiences. Their session culminated in the chapel by a Eucharistic Adoration fervently animated by the Jesus Youth.

The Sunday morning found the youngsters sitting in groups with a sister animator reflecting and sharing the Word of God. The youngsters then had an interesting session on the ‘Cup of Mercy’. Ten rooms were beautifully decked with various cups, namely, The Blessing Cup, The Satisfying Cup, The Cluttered Cup, The Broken Cup, The Family Cup, The Giving Cup, The Mended Cup,   The Thanksgiving Cup, The Unique Cup and The Memory Cup. Each group accompanied by the sister in charge reflected on meditations on the cup. It was a unique experience, where the youngsters reflected on various aspects of their lives and maintained a small record of their reflections. They also had scripture verses to guide them. This was followed by confessions. Two days of grace helped them to get to know themselves better and strengthen their relationship with God.
